Without Walls

Without Walls is a documentary about the phenomenon of separation;
from the external walls or fences built between various nations
in conflict to the internal walls that we construct metaphorically
inside ourselves. From Berlin where the wall came tumbling down,
to Northern Ireland where a wall has existed for 33 years, to the
recent construction of the wall between Israel and Palestine, Without
Walls looks at the phenomenon of separation, where it actually begins,
and most importantly what creative solutions exist to help remove
the structures of belief that keep us in a state of separation.
With a strong focus on the newly proposed wall between the US /
Mexico border, the film also references many other key locations
including: Israel/Palestine, North/South Korea, Cyprus/Turkey, Northern
Ireland, Botswana/ Zimbabwe, India/ Pakistan, South Africa, and
Tibet/China. The film gives voice to people separated by economics,
ideology and often time’s war to those who are working on
solutions that unite rather than divide. Moving from the personal
to the political, the internal to the external, this documentary
shows how conflict often begins within an individual, and that a
conflict between two people is not that different than those that
are created between nations and borders.
